Celebrity chef and cookbook author Judy Rodgers continues to steer her vibrant eatery to the head of the competitive San Francisco restaurant scene. Zuni’s two-story brick building on Market Street is full of light, unusual angles, and large windows. Adding to the atmosphere are the long, copper-topped bar, a large wood-burning oven, colorful modern artwork, a baby grand piano that’s tickled nightly, and an array of flowers. The menu, which focuses on Mediterranean cuisine, changes daily, although the famous Caesar salad and roasted chicken are perennial favorites.
