Expect excessively hip—though not relaxing—dining at this outpost in the W Hotel (see) serving self-described urban continental fare with a French influence (that’s California cuisine to you and me). The house specialty is a black Angus filet with horseradish potato mousseline and burgundy reduction. Notable design elements include multicolored pseudo-portholes on one wall and floor-to-ceiling windows on the outer wall; curved, high-backed booths; and marble tabletops. The adjacent three-story bar and café are also extremely popular.
