The Viceroy, Santa Monica’s trendy boutique hotel, houses the clever hotspot Whist. Chef Tim Goodell of Orange County’s rave Aubergine makes his first entry into the LA food scene with this stylish restaurant decked in lime green walls lined in English china. Goodell’s contemporary fare could stand on its own, however, distinguished by a respect for market produce, Asian-accented dishes, and fruit and savory combinations such as pineapple and foie gras.
