The Wazee Supper Club is a throwback to a different time and place. In this converted plumbing supply house, now packed with students and professionals who come for what is reputed to be the city's best made-from-scratch pizza, you'll find no-pretense decor that includes a 1937 garage door opener converted to a dumbwaiter, a classic 1930s Art Deco bar (offering some 20 beers on tap), and tables and Naugahyde chairs that look like they came straight from the 1950s. A black-and-white tile floor, large curving banquettes, and stained glass also give this fun place a distinctive look.
