Warwick, the second-largest city in Rhode Island, is the location of T. F. Green Airport, the state's largest commercial airport. With 39 miles of coastline on Narragansett Bay, the city has more than 15 marinas. Warwick is a major retail and industrial center. The geographic diversity of Warwick promoted a decentralized pattern of settlement, which gave rise to a number of small villages including Pawtuxet, Cowesett, and Conanicut.
