Tony’s is one of the best places to see and be seen in Houston. It has become the de facto dining room of the famous (or almost famous) and fabulous, crowded with marquee names and the stylish set. This is a jewel box of a restaurant, decked out in ruby red and coral fabrics, fine art, and glossy Italian wood and lit with ornate antique chandeliers. The appealing setting is stunning and is matched by the heavenly, Italian-inspired menu, featuring premium seasonal ingredients and imported “boutique” seafood. The house signature—a wood oven–roasted, truffle-scented baby hen with wild mushroom risotto—leaves no question that dining at Tony’s is a decadent eating exercise. Indeed, this is the best kind of exercise.
