This vibrant downtown restaurant takes its name from a famous Venetian playwright from the 1800s, and its interesting decor represents the theater ("teatro") in Venice during the carnival. The decor includes a wall of masks, velvet curtains, blown-glass pendant lights, and harlequin and striped patterns on posts and columns. Innovative but simple Venetian dishes are served, and a pianist performs on weekends. The restaurant also serves a pre-fixe theater menu and offers wine dinners and cooking classes.
