It’s no surprise that The Bathhouse also offers an experience like no other. The completely innovative journey begins with the spa’s eye-catching design – minimalism that allows you to focus on relaxation – and follows through with cutting-edge treatments.
The Spa Experience
The Bathhouse at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay Resort has attracted international accolades for its striking interior. The entranceway’s gray slate walls and marble floors establish instant, understated drama. There are no unnecessary embellishments, just some welcome splashes of color, small details of texture, and water elements to establish a sense of well-thought-out calm.
There are twelve treatment rooms, including a redwood sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, rainfall corridors, several cold and hot plunge pools and a co-ed relaxation area. Guests can book a private room with large four-by-eight bathtubs and enjoy complete tranquility and reflection under high ceilings. Supported by an exhaustive spa menu that is as creative as it is endless, the staff methodologies include body massage, reflexology, facials and body treatments, crystal energy, and body wraps.
Pampering Treatments
So many of the treatments at The Bathhouse at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay Resort are a feast of the senses. The playfully named facial-licious, for example, is an aromatherapy facial that touts the herbal benefits of plant roots such as coltsfoot, dandelion, black elderflower, and yarrow. Ingredients in the intensely fresh and fragrant herbal skincare line, Eminence Organics of Hungary, were so fragrant I could almost taste the apple, grape, and lime extracts I breathed in – these products liberally infuse skin with natural exfoliants.
I opted for additional aromatherapy with the scents-of-you treatment. Answering a few personal questions on a computer, I was matched to a unique blend of essential oils that were incorporated into my massage.
Added Amenities
The fitness Center at the Bathhouse at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay Resort offers a bright contrast to the Bathhouse. Vibrant splashes of color, ultra-modern equipment, and a decidedly “up” vibe help you make the transition between the calm of the spa and the energy of Las Vegas outside the spa doors. I found I spent much more time at this fitness center than I would have in my gym at home – working out on the ultra-modern machines with the help and encouragement of staff made the time fly by in this energetic room.
Though I didn’t find it necessary to indulge, this Las Vegas spa also offers a three-hour hangover recovery treatment. The combination of bindi detox, a pure oxygen facial, and upper body massage is said to work wonders for those who over-indulge.
