This stylishly retro restaurant and nightclub is a three-level extravaganza, complete with Persian carpets, elaborate Victorian crown mouldings, and cathedral-style windows. The food and wine compete with the setting and the beautiful crowd for attention. The main floor and mezzanine both serve lunch and dinner; on the lower level, you’ll find a slinky torch singer draped over a baby grand piano, purring the old romantic standards. If you’d prefer just to listen, turn your eyes to the three-story waterfall that flows over the top of the entryway. The club has two lounges: the Front Lounge welcomes casual diners who come for a light bite and to hear live jazz, and the Ember Lounge is where up to 40 people can top off an evening with a cognac or brandy and a cigar from the selection in the Rosewater’s well-stocked humidor.
