When Restaurant Eugene co-owner Gina Hopkins and chef/co-owner Linton Hopkins met at DC Coast in Washington, DC, they realized they shared the same vision: opening their own restaurant where guests are provided with an exceptional dining experience. And their goal has become a reality with this Atlanta gem. Service at Restaurant Eugene is friendly, almost genteel in nature and somewhat unexpected in such a modern, supper club-like atmosphere. The well-executed New American menu is accented with some New Orleans influences and features dishes like beef rib eye with beer-battered onion rings, baby spinach, and horseradish; and Berkshire black pork belly with cabbage, granny smith apples, spiced pecans, and whole grain mustard. Cornmeal pound cake with warm spiced peaches and vanilla ricotta; and an ice cream sundae with fried plantain chips, dark chocolate sauce, homemade strawberry preserves, and pineapple chunks are just a few of the desserts that bring a blissful ending to a wonderful experience.
