How did a restaurant that’s been around for 27 years receive Esquire magazine’s Best New
Restaurant of 2008 award? Like an aging Hollywood starlet, it just had a little work done.
And what a difference a new coat of paint made. Now a juxtaposition of contemporary
furnishings and classic architecture, The Restaurant’s honey-colored walls and lithe dark
wood tables provide a warm atmosphere to savor the chef creative cuisine. Start
with sliced Iberico ham with tomato crostini or vanilla-scented Hudson Valley foie gras
with apples three ways, followed by a main course of coffee and chili-rubbed rib-eye with
tempura onion rings or slow roasted char, purple potato puree, poblano oil with cilantro
and green apple salad.
