Chef/partner Michael Schlow is a man who understands what people are looking for in a dining experience. First, there’s atmosphere. Radius is a stunningly chic, slick, modern space decked out in silver and garnet red. Crowded with some of Boston’s most stylish residents, you will step inside and instantly feel like you’re on the set of Sex and the City. Second, there’s the food. Schlow offers diners a chance to taste some truly inspired modern French cooking. There is an emphasis on the seasons here, so the menu changes often, but what doesn’t change is the quality of the ingredients and the care with which the kitchen assembles each magnificent dish. Schlow doesn’t like to overload the plate (or the belly) with heavy sauces. This is refined, light-handed cooking using infused oils, emulsions, juices, vegetable purées, and reductions to heighten flavors and add texture and balance to every dish. Dining here is a wonderful feast for all the senses.
