Named for the Palio, a medieval bareback horse race in the Italian town of Asti, this spacious Financial District restaurant features a large mural depicting the event, which was reborn more than 35 years ago. Banners and flags representing the villages around Asti that participate in the Palio decorate the main dining room. Menus change seasonally and reflect different regions: northern Italy in the winter, southern Italy in the summer, and Rome in the spring. Fresh white truffles (when in season) and house-made pastas are specialties.
