A posh perch over Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile, NoMI (an acronym for North Michigan) is the Park Hyatt’s (see) stylish, civilized destination for critically acclaimed contemporary French cuisine by Executive Chef Christophe David. Asian influences are evident in sushi and sashimi selections on the sophisticated menu. Luxurious materials such as white marble, Italian mosaic tile, wenge wood paneling and tables, and leather, combine in the streamlined décor, highlighted by an eye-catching art collection (with works by well-known artists like Dale Chihuly, Isamu Noguchi, David Klammen, and Judy Ledgerwood), glittering open kitchen, and scintillating views from floor-to-ceiling windows. The wine list is both impressive and extensive, with 3,000 or so bottles. NoMI also serves breakfast and lunch and offers outdoor terrace dining in fair weather.
