This frenetic, fast-paced, cafeteria-style spot serves up some of the best authentic Vietnamese fare going. The popular restaurant is one large mirror-walled room, with Vietnamese décor enhancing the setting. The place is generally chaotic, especially at lunch (be prepared to share your table with people you don’t know), but the experience is a great one nonetheless, considering that you can feast on excellent bowls of pho (noodle soup), spicy spring rolls stuffed with basil and shrimp, and delicious dishes like banh xeo, crispy yellow rice-flower pancakes wrapped around sautéed mushrooms, shrimp, and sprouts. Located near the New York court buildings, it is a convenient spot for jurors.
