Opened in 1949 by Lolly and Bill Fassett, this unique outdoor restaurant is still run by members (children and grandchildren) of the Fassett family. Poets, celebrities, artists, and travelers come here for the beautiful views (the restaurant is located along a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Big Sur coastline) but stay for the wonderful American cuisine. Don't leave without trying the Ambrosiaburger--you won't be disappointed.
