Housed in an old brick firehouse, Montrio combines the old with the modern at this downtown location near the convention center. Visually attractive with a sense of whimsy, the restaurant has soft sculptures suspended from the ceiling to muffle sound and track lighting made from fine metalwork twisted into the shape of grapevines. Leather-covered bar stools enhance the bar area. A professional staff serves up house specialties, which include crab cakes with spicy remoulade, rotisserie chicken over whipped potatoes, and oven-roasted portabella mushrooms.
