Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka’s namesake restaurant is manly, naturally, yet surprisingly civilized. While a museum-quality sports memorabilia display decorates the clubby restaurant, the patrons exhibit more steakhouse than stadium behavior. Conveniently located near the Magnificent Mile and its many hotels and shopping destinations, Ditka’s dishes up generous portions of quality meats (including a massive signature pork chop and “training table” pot roast), as well as seafood, pastas, and salads. The cigar-friendly bar is a louder, more casual destination for snacks and televised sports; upstairs, the cigar lounge features live piano music.
