Part of the revitalized Boston Waterfront, Miel—or honey, in French—evokes a sunny Provencal brasserie. The large, half-moon-shaped room with wrought-iron chandeliers, tile floors, and a large stone hearth is done in the warm tones of Provence. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a water view, and pretty tables are dressed in yellows, accented by light blue goblets and blue toile de Jony on the chairs. A display of honey jars and olive oils add to the warm setting. The chef offers a creative French menu, utilizing olives, olive oil, tomatoes, and garlic. In addition to Provencal classics such as Pistou soup and bouillabaisse, there is a seafood raw bar with local favorites.
