Offering elegant dining in Ghirardelli Square, Mandarin serves cuisine from northern China in a prime tourist location on the top floor of the Woolen Mill building. Views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen from the bar and many of the dining alcoves/rooms. Carved wooden screens and an ornate turquoise-and-green tile floor divide the dining room into several sections, and the attractive ceiling has exposed beams with lanterns. Peking duck, Mandarin cod, and beggar’s chicken are house specialties.
