A member of the Historic Hotels of America, the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe isn’t what you might expect when you see the word “inn.” Located primarily in many small cottages dotting the 20-acre property, guest accommodations are available in three varieties: deluxe rooms, suites, and private cottages, all featuring Aveda beauty and bath products. The deluxe rooms have patios or decks; many have fireplaces, wet bars, kitchenettes, or sitting areas; and some of the older rooms have hardwood floors. Suites are one- or two-bedroom cottages, each with its own living room, kitchen, and fireplace, plus a patio or deck. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom private cottages have a full-sized kitchen and guest bath. If you can pull yourself away from your room, you’ll find a full-service spa, a fitness program (offering guided runs and walks, swim lessons, water aerobics, and weight-training classes), tennis courts (private lessons available), a croquet lawn, and walking and jogging trails.
