This sophisticated, clubbish restaurant is one of Baltimore’s most popular—and for good reason. The beautiful dining room is formal but unstuffy, and its menu of contemporary American cuisine is nothing short of inspired. Past dishes have included honey-lavender grouper with porcini and leek risotto and grilled asparagus; grilled black Angus steak with truffle-infused pommes frites, jumbo asparagus, and black pepper steak sauce; and grilled veal chop with caramelized peaches, buttered spinach, and potato Ann. The bar is a popular “see-and-be-seen” spot, and the kitchen counter features some of the most sough-after seats in the house.
