From its location in a former townhouse to the fresh flowers placed throughout
the restaurant, Les Nomades is nothing but low-key elegance. And despite
being a mere croissant’s throw from nearby Michigan Avenue, the serene
spot is secluded and intimate for those seeking a romantic getaway within
the city. That’s not to say the French haute cuisine is an afterthought, though.
From rack of lamb in a delicate artichoke soubise to perfectly roasted venison loin with puréed kabocha squash, Les Nomades’ prix fixe French fare is
expertly prepared and perfectly fits the restaurant’s elegant atmosphere. In
keeping with the formal feel, jackets are required for men, and cell phones are strictly prohibited.
