Spartan Asian ambience fills four interconnected dining rooms in this downtown sushi establishment in the Palace Hotel (see). Unobtrusive Japanese music is as understated as the décor, which includes original Asian art, green satin drapes, and a small vase with a single rose on each table. In addition to an extensive sake list, the menu offers sushi, sashimi, tempura, noodle dishes, and traditional Japanese soups. Given the prices and the authenticity, Japanese businessmen are a large part of the clientele. Make reservations to dine at the eight-seat sushi bar.
