Hotel Rex, a sophisticated boutique hotel embracing a Jazz Age theme, takes its cue from the art and literary salons of the 1920s and ‘30s. Despite its nondescript exterior, the hotel is surprisingly upscale inside. The lobby has a suave, clublike atmosphere and décor, with dark wood, book-lined walls, original paintings and murals, muted lighting, a traditional bar and lounge (which hosts literary events), and soft jazz music.
