The Inn at Spanish Bay is part of a network of three resorts at Pebble Beach, and, through a unique collaboration, guests staying at any of the properties are allowed to use the facilities of all three. The entire resort has 13 restaurants, four of which are located inside the Inn. The resort is also home to a shopping area with numerous stores offering everything from clothing and golf equipment to home décor. The 22,000-square-foot, Mobil Four-Star-rated, Spa at Pebble Beach makes an ideal destination for non-golfers, or those who need to relax after a hard day on the course. Pebble Beach’s four championship courses are a major draw, though sports lovers who prefer to hit the courts will find an award-winning tennis facility.
The Inn at Spanish Bay is a full-service resort that caters to all kinds of travelers. It equally welcomes couples and small groups, as well as families. The Inn is a popular choice for corporate meetings and events because of the many large and elegant meeting rooms. Though single business travelers don’t often stay here because of its relatively remote, vacation-focused destination, the resort does feature a wide range of business amenities and services.
(+) World-renowned golf resort that can accommodate virtually any type of traveler
(+) Polished, professional attends to guests’ every need
(+) Comfortable accommodations with welcoming ambience
The nine-hole, par-3 executive course of Peter Hay, located across from Pebble Beach Golf Links, is perfect for those players needing to brush up on their skills or for those guests teaching the game to their children. The Pebble Beach Golf Academy helps players new to the game as well as seasoned players who need a few extra hints. The Academy offers everything from group and private lessons to custom-fitted golf clubs.
While Pebble Beach may be best known for its golf, this resort isn’t just for golf lovers. Tennis players have their choice of two different facilities. The Spanish Bay Club Tennis Pavilion features hard surface, clay, and plexi-pave surfaces. Clinics and lessons are also available. The Beach & Tennis Club, with views of Stillwater Cove, also entices players with its 12 plexi-pave and clay courts, lessons, and clinics.
The Beach & Tennis Club also offers a heated, freshwater outdoor pool and Jacuzzi overlooking Stillwater Cove. Inspiring views continue to the fitness center, where you’ll find state-of-the-art equipment and a range of classes, including yoga and aerobics.
The Spa at Pebble Beach is a 22,000-square-foot oasis that features a wide variety of body treatments, massages, facials, and many other signature treatments. Located adjacent to Casa Palmero and on the first fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links, this sensational facility also has a full-service salon.
Shoppers will discover a number of interesting boutiques on the resort property, but those with a penchant for retail should head to nearby Carmel. The Monterey Peninsula is also teeming with recreational opportunities -- everything from ocean kayaking to whale watching excursions. Pebble Beach is also a stopping point on the 17-Mile Drive, a scenic route that wraps around the Monterey Peninsula coastline and includes a series of enjoyable stops. It’s well worth renting a car and following this picturesque journey.
(+) World-renowned golf and first-rate spa and tennis facilities, as well as ideal Monterey Peninsula location
The Inn at Spanish Bay counts Roy’s, Pèppoli, Sticks, and Traps under its roof. Celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi brings his unique Hawaiian fusion cuisine to Pebble Beach at Roy’s, where the views of the golf course are almost as good as the food. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at this popular spot.
For rustic Italian dinners and fine dining, try Pèppoli, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant. Or head to the cozy, fireside dining room at Traps, where you can enjoy casual but delicious food such as prosciutto with melon and fried calamari. The sports bar setting of Sticks is perfect for American fare like BBQ St. Louis Ribs and an open faced New York Steak Sandwich.
The Inn’s four wonderful restaurants mean you don’t have to venture out, but there are nine other restaurants on the resort campus to whet your appetite. The sophisticated setting at Club XIX makes for a memorable meal, while the Lodge’s eight other venues tend to be more casual.
Stillwater Bar & Grill is open all day and also serves a wonderful Sunday brunch. Its American menu is filled with favorites such as filet mignon and wild King salmon. While enjoying the pool, stroll over to the Beach Club for a light lunch. Open only to hotel guests and members of the club, this glass-walled dining room has stunning views of Stillwater Cove, Carmel Bay, and the 17th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Breakfast and lunch are served at the casual Gallery Café, as well as the Spyglass Hill Grill, located one mile west of The Lodge, and at the nearby Del Monte Bar & Grill. Golfers won’t want to miss cocktails at the Tap Room or the Terrace Lounge. Across from the Lodge, Pebble Beach Market is the place to go for gourmet picnics and grocery or deli items.
(+) High quality food at a seemingly limitless array of restaurants on and off the property
Since Pebble Beach is a renowned golf resort and the Monterey Peninsula is more often a vacation destination, The Inn at Spanish Bay is usually selected as a group destination, rather than a hotel for a single business traveler.
(+) Fantastic destination for a corporate event, featuring several large conference rooms
