Owned by husband-wife team David Page (he is also executive chef) and Barbara Shin, Home is one of those rare and wonderful restaurants that wraps you in warmth, hospitality, grace, and delicious cuisine. Tucked away on a sleepy block of the West Village, Home offers diners home-style American meals made from the season’s best ingredients. The restaurant has a charming outdoor garden (heated in winter) and boasts one of the most extensive all-New York State wine lists around town. (The couple’s own wine, Shin Merlot, made in the North Fork of Long Island was added to the list in 2004.) This gem of a restaurant should be shared with someone as special as it is.
