The Holly Inn was the first hotel built in Pinehurst (dating back to 1895), and it is part of the Pinehurst Resort (see). The inn has the charm of a traditional classic inn: dark wood paneling, fireplaces, and antiques mixed with traditional furniture. The guest rooms are decorated in a lodge style, with rattan club chairs, and tones of gold, green, and terra cotta. The fine dining 1895 Restaurant (see) features an American menu with Carolina influences. The Tavern is more casual and serves lunch and dinner.
