When husband-wife team Charlie Kiely
and Sharon Patcherchef—veterans of the
New York restaurant scene—opened The
Grocery, an intimate spot with a leafy back
patio and yard, they had no idea that they
would inspire a cult following. This stylish,
earth-toned dining room has a serene
vibe, and the delicious food coming out of
the tiny kitchen makes the 13-table space
all the more exquisite. Star dishes include
brook trout with spinach and bacon-flecked
spaetzle, ratatouille-stuffed squid, roasted
beets with goat cheese ravioli, duck confit
with roasted quince sauce and pork loin
with sweet potatoes and roasted pears.
