The Grill may sound like a local joint to pick up juicy, greasy burgers with golden fries and perhaps a nice, cold pint of beer, but the food here is a bit more, shall we say, refined. This grill is the flagship restaurant of the Ritz-Carlton (see) on Amelia Island, where you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything resembling a burger on the restaurant’s haute menu. This is not to say that you will be disappointed—quite the opposite. You’ll be treated to a stellar selection of seasonal, regional American fare tinged with global flavors. The tasteful, formal dining room is marked by its panoramic views of the Atlantic—a breathtaking sight. Romance is easy here, which makes a seat at a window table in the dining room a nice choice for couples who long to gaze into each other’s eyes. Those past the butterflies stage will also be happy, as the room is well appointed and comfortable and makes a great choice for friends and family to gather. The wine list features approximately 500 selections, so there should be no issue with lack of options here.
