This unique resort was built to echo an English country village. The main manor is a replica of Anne Hathaway's cottage, and the names of the satellite houses continue the Shakespearean theme. The buildings are set amidst 5 acres of beautifully landscaped English-style gardens—the perfect setting for a wedding, the hosting of which is one of the resort's specialties. Renovations in 2003 gave the resort a more modern feel, with hardwood floors and contemporary colors, although plenty of antiques still grace the guest rooms and public spaces. The lack of elevators may dissuade some guests.
