Have you ever dreamed of having a chef of your very own--someone who would come to your table and say something like, “Good evening. So nice to see you. What would you like me to make for you this evening?” Open your eyes. This is not a dream. You are at The Grille, a magical restaurant in the Morrison House Boutique Hotel in historic Alexandria, where you create your very own “Flight of Food” based on what the chef has purchased from local markets and farmers that very day. Instead of a dinner menu, you’ll be presented with a wine list (a nice big one with lots of terrific international choices) and then a personal visit from the chef to discuss what you’re in the mood to eat. He’ll give you the list of ingredients, and you work together to develop the menu. It’s very interactive and very exciting. This is living. After dinner, a butler will escort you to the parlor for an after-dinner drink or a wonderful, aromatic pot of special-blend loose tea made for the Morrison House Boutique Hotel.
