This massive taco and tequila emporium is always jam-packed with a lively young crowd slugging down high-octane margaritas and generally getting the party started. A heated patio keeps smokers happy, a crowded bar plays televised sports, and a maze of dining rooms is crammed with bad Mexican art, fake birds, and Christmas lights dangling from the rafters. No unique ethnic specialties here, just football-sized burritos, mountainlike fajita platters, and surprisingly delicate tamales. El Coyote also has the creepy distinction of having served Sharon Tate her last meal.
