This established northern Italian steakhouse has been a Boston institution for more than 20 years. It's located in Back Bay in the former Paine Furniture building in Park Square and is convenient to the theater district and Boston Common. The large dining room features dramatic high ceilings, contemporary decor, imposing columns, and a display kitchen where you could watch chef Steve DiFillippo at work whipping up favorite dishes including grilled porterhouse veal chops, hand-rolled potato gnocchi, and chocolate cake. The popular restaurant also houses a bakery and a wine room with more than 300 wines. A Davio's to Go Shop, serving delicious takeout foods such as pizza, sandwiches, and desserts, is located in the adjacent 10 St. James building.
