After earning the James Beard Society's 2002 best new restaurant award for Craft in New York, chef Tom Colicchio spun off a Vegas version, Craftsteak, in the MGM Grand. With an emphasis on top-shelf ingredients from boutique farms and artisinal producers, the á la carte menu spans fish, shellfish, poultry, veal, lamb, and pork as well as steak. A raw bar, generous salads, and a roster of veggies supplement the mains. Many dishes are served in small skillets or pots that facilitate sharing. The handsome room features generous circular booths and open sightlines for spotting the celebrities who frequently dine here.
