Walk by Chat’n’Chew on a Saturday afternoon and you’ll walk straight into a line of twentysomethings, married couples with strollers, and red-eyed partiers waiting to get inside to feast on one of the best and most reasonably priced brunch menus in the city. Filled with vintage décor and thrift store restaurant finds, this crowded Union Square diner is about quantity (portions are giant) and comfort food. There’s roast turkey with gravy, mac 'n' cheese, and hearty breakfast fare like eggs, hash browns, French toast, and pancakes. It’s not fancy, it’s inexpensive, and it’s all good.
