The Roman-themed Caesars was the Strip’s first mega-resort when it opened in 1966. And though little lasts long in Vegas, Caesars still reigns, constantly growing and challenging competitors to keep up. To its Italian façade, Caesars added a replica of Rome’s Coliseum in which singer Celine Dion entertains. The hotel’s swimming deck, modeled on Pompeii, trims three pools in marble statues. The confusing layout of the casino floor is an open play to keep you in house. But there’s plenty to recommend it, including 808 and Bradley Ogden restaurants as well as the high-end Forum Shops. Contemporary-styled guest rooms are spacious and feature dark wood furnishings, a sofa, and a marble bathroom.
