About Bozeman, Montana:
Blazing a trail from Wyoming, John M. Bozeman led a train of immigrants who settled here and named the town for their leader. The first settlements in the Gallatin Valley were agricultural, but were economically surpassed by the mines nearby. Today, small grain farming, livestock, dairying, tourism, and the state university are important sources of income. The city is the marketplace for the cattle-producing Gallatin Valley.
