Located in the heart of SoHo, Boom is a popular spot for European expats living (and shopping) in New York. The stylish crowds give Boom a hotspot vibe, but it’s really just a simple, cozy space, with wood floors, antiquated plaster wall coverings, candles burning, and, through open windows, a great view of the hipsters strolling by on Spring Street. The kitchen is not breaking any culinary ground but manages to turn out a respectable and eclectic menu of tasty global dishes. Live jazz music is offered three days a week, and live Brazilian music creates a fun atmosphere for brunch.
