Central Park is one of the most wonderful places to spend a day in Manhattan. It really doesn’t matter what the season. The same can be said of the Boathouse Restaurant, an open, airy, and romantic New York icon/restaurant with views of the rowboaters making their way across the unfortunately green Central Park pond. Sure, summer is the ideal time to settle in for cocktails on the patio under the cherry blossoms, but this restaurant is equally idyllic in the winter, when snow blankets the park in a soft hush. The menu at the Boathouse is New American, with steak, fish, pasta, and salads sure to please any and all culinary desires. Brunch in warmer months is a winner here, but the lines are long, so call ahead for a table.
