This handsome 1834 brick Federalist house was once the home of a Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court. The front parlor is now the lounge, which is slightly Victorian in style with low, black cocktail tables, gas fireplaces, and images of black swans. Three dining areas have a more Federal-area feel, with a mix of floral china, fresh flowers, and exposed brick walls and wood floors. The menu features produce from the kitchen's back yard garden and is full of regional and international accents. Favorites that rarely leave the menu include roast rack of lamb with lingonberry mint sauce and Nana's country fried chicken with pan gravy. For a perfect ending a number of house-made desserts are available.
