The Bellagio Hotel and Casino is an MGM/Mirage group hotel in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, within easy walking distance over convenient sky bridges to other Las Vegas attractions. The Bellagio upholds high luxury standards and the opulence begins with the lobby’s Fiori di Como ceiling, a breathtaking display of 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers created by celebrated artist, Dale Chihuly. Just beyond the lobby is the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, where exotic plants and flowers weave a stunning tapestry of unique seasonal and holiday flora. Another stunning feature of the Bellagio is the famed dancing fountains, choreographed to classical music.

For couples in search of the perfect Las Vegas wedding, there are two wedding chapels that offer complete in-house planning services and packages that can include dining at the ultra-romantic Mobil Four-Star restaurant, Picasso.

Business travelers, whether visiting Las Vegas for a convention or traveling solo, will appreciate the magnificent meeting and ballroom spaces and a high tech business center, backed by efficient technicians and state-of-the-art equipment.

Bellagio’s six distinctive pool courtyard settings create the atmosphere of a romantic Mediterranean Villa. Besides the stunning and luxurious surroundings, guests of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino will appreciate the hotel’s attention to service and guest satisfaction. When I arrived, although the lobby was very crowded with guests and tourists taking in the spectacular setting, staff was attentive and assisted me in a timely manner with my check in. The Bellagio Concierge was professional and attended to all my requests and needs, but a service offered that guests should really take advantage of is the Concierges’ own toll free line, available seven days a week. Reservations can be made up to three months in advance for fine dining, tee times, spa treatments, or all MGM/Mirage live theatre acts. Since Las Vegas is such a popular destination, I highly recommend booking your spa and dining reservations in advance -- they tend to book up quickly.

Brides and grooms can relax knowing that all the small details will be taken care of for them by the Bellagio’s Wedding Chapel coordinators. The vast wedding services offered include the East and South chapels and inclusive video and photography services. Wedding packages include a Penthouse suite, dinner at Picasso, and tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s “O”.

There are over 60 disabled accessible rooms with Braille guest service directories, closed caption TV, touch control lamps, and electric drapery controls. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible, with free wheelchairs from the Bell Desk.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino has 3,933 guest rooms, including 513 suites, with most suites offering 1,020 square feet of space, located on the 29th-36th floors with elevator access only with a room key. The Penthouse Suites, on these floors have a full refrigerator, dining room, wet bar, and two master bedrooms, with sizes ranging from 1,500 to 2,050 square feet. The Salone suites at 853 square feet are on floors 4-28.

The rooms and suites have all the expected amenities of a luxury hotel, plus flat-screen remote-controlled cable television, electronic door locks, and laptop-sized in-room safes. Most rooms and suites have fax, computer and data ports, electronic drapes, and Express check-in. Rooms outfitted for disabled travelers have door knock lights, call alerts, bed shakers, vibrating alarm clock, visual alarm, and TDD.

There are 16 ultra luxurious 2- 3- and 4-bedrooms villas at the Bellagio with their own chefs, butlers, pools, Jacuzzis, and limousine drivers.

The MGM/Mirage Group offers three Tom Fazio-designed golf courses, with the Primm Valley Desert and Lake Clubs 25 miles south of Las Vegas along the California border. For ultra exclusivity, the private Shadow Creek course is available with limousine and private caddie service. Other courses are also available through the Concierge.

Be sure to make advance appointments for your visit to the 65,000 square feet Mobil Four-Star Spa Bellagio, located on the second floor overlooking the Conservatory. Signature Spa treatments in 56 treatment rooms include Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Aromatic Moor Mud Bath, Vichy Body Exfoliation, Lithocal Spa Seaweed Body Peel, and Detox-Thalasso Seaweed Baths. Other services include waxing, fango or hot stone pedicures, crushed pearl, Bella Stone, or Indonesian teakwood manicures, and aromatherapy oxygen treatments. The meditation room plays relaxing music in a candle lit room, surrounding by soothing water walls.

Massages include Watsu, Yoga, hot stone, Ashiatsu Oriental, Zen Shiatsu, Bali Jamu, Indian Head massages, or services in room or in a pool cabana. Many treatments are served with Cristal Champagne and Caviar. Guests can purchase Bellagio’s private label spa products.

The 6,000 square feet co-ed fitness center overlooks the pool and offers Cybex weight machines, free weights, state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, treadmills, bikes, elliptical trainers, and Pilates equipment. The 1,000 square feet Bamboo Studio provides Pilates and kickboxing classes.

The Spa Salon provides male and female facials and masks, and unique hair and scalp treatments using tropical fruit enzymes. Non-guests are welcome in the salon only.

The Bellagio also features some of Las Vegas’s premier shopping venues at Via Bellagio shops, featuring the world’s most fashionable designer apparel, shoes, fragrances, gifts, jewelry, sportswear, furnishing, heirlooms, and luggage.

As a member of the MGM/Mirage Players Club, guests can take part in gaming at all nine of the resorts throughout Las Vegas, including the Bellagio. Build up credits for 100 restaurants, shows, spas, salons, and golf. The smoke free Bellagio Poker Room features daily tournaments. Other gaming choices include traditional table games and slot and poker machines, plus private gaming salons. The heated five pool complex is open year round, but pool hours change seasonally. The oasis of citrus gardens features private cabanas with patios, wet bars, refrigerators, dressing areas, music and cable TV, misting systems, and Jacuzzis.

Dining & Lounge: Bellagio, Las Vegas

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino provides the most discerning palate some of the best in both fine dining or casual gourmet styles. Fine dining venues at the Bellagio all require advanced reservations, including Le Cirque Restaurant, which is located near Lake Bellagio and features French cuisine. Osteria del Circo is a family fun restaurant providing Tuscany-inspired cuisine prepared in an open kitchen.

On a lower level are the hotel’s two highly praised signature restaurants, Picasso and Prime Steakhouse, both located lakeside. Order cocktails and cigars in the plush 1930s era Prime Steakhouse that serves the best American cuts under Baccarat chandeliers. The Mobil Four-Star Picasso is a sophisticated French restaurant, with original oil paintings and ceramics from the famed Spanish artist. Picasso’s ultimate treat is the five course Chef’s Degustation menu from master Chef Julian Serrano.

San Francisco-based Michael Mina brings his California-Mediterranean restaurant named after him to the hotel, along with an international wine list. The menu at this Mobil Four-Star restaurant is extensive and offers à la carte selections in addition to a pair of five-course tasting menus, one vegetarian and one seasonal. Another of Bellagio’s most romantic restaurants is the Hong Kong-styled Jasmine, serving Cantonese, Szechwan, and Hunan selections, with the house music synchronized with the dancing Bellagio fountains. Shintaro is a pleasurable Asian dining experience serving grilled dishes, sushi, teppan, yaki, and tempuras with an expansive sake and beer menu.

More casual dining choices at the Bellagio include Sensi’s classical regional Asian and Italian dishes cooked to order in an open kitchen and wines served in an ambiance of waterfalls and chrome. Chef Todd English is praised for his Olives Mediterranean menu of flatbread pizzas, pastas, rotisserie dishes, seafood, and meats, also with an open kitchen and al fresco patio. Noodles serves Asian barbecue and stir fry fare from Thailand, Japan, China, and Vietnam. For casual yet sophisticated dining the trendy FIX Restaurant, Lounge, and Bar is the spot for patrons who prefer wood burning grill cuisine served under exquisite Costa Rican Padouk planks.

For quick snacks the seasonal Mediterranean influenced Pool Cafe offers a sun splashed outdoor patio overlooking the pools and courtyard, open for breakfast and lunch. The 24-hour Buffet at Bellagio is a smorgasbord of fresh seafood with customized meals to order at themed cooking stations. Café Bellagio is also open 24 hours with dining near the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The Jean-Philippe Patisserie creates in-house sweet tooth favorites such as gourmet chocolates, cakes, and cookies, but also serves salads and sandwiches. Snacks is next to the Race and Sports Book for light fare. Palio Pronto is the place for pastries, gelatos, and specialty European coffees. Café Gelato serves smoothies and European ice creams.

For a unique executive or event team building function the Bellagio Catering Services features the Tuscany Kitchen for live cooking shows.

Most of the Bellagio Bars and Lounges are open 24 hours, but many only swing into action later in the evening and close in the early morning hours. The seasonal Pool Bar is in a garden setting. The 24 hour Baccarat Bar has its own baby grand piano and serves sophisticated drinks next to the Baccarat Saloon in the middle of the casino. The 24 hour Petrossian Bar near the lobby serves fine champagnes and its namesake caviar. The Light Group’s Caramel Bar and Lounge is open in the evening and it is often frequented by celebrities sipping cocktails, sake, and specialty drinks. The Fontana Bar is open in the evenings and has superb views of Lake Bellagio’s dancing fountains with its own patio for dancing. Proper attire is required in the Light Nightclub where the scene is set for late night dancing with a European bottle service provided while lounging on plush furnishings.

The Bellagio Business Services Center is located at the entrance to the ballroom and convention complexes, and has a full service staff on duty that can arrange business functions, catered events, gala dinners, or full entertainment productions with its own Technical Services Department offering audio, video, photography, and support.

Specialized business services include private mini suites with computers, modems, zip drives, and high speed wireless Internet access, PC and Mac printers, speaker phones, cell phone, beeper or radio rentals, and package handling.

The Galleria Rooms are designed for private functions, and they are equipped with Barco projection systems, automatic drop-down projection screens, an electronic power panel, and lighting controls.

The Ballrooms at Bellagio are in two complexes. The Bellagio Tower complex has a total of 45,000 square feet of space that can serve up to 5,000 guests banquet-style in a theatre setting with a 2,870 square foot stage. The Renaissance Tower complex features 16 meeting rooms and ballrooms with a total of 22,000 square feet of space, with the Bellagio Ballroom the largest, seating 2,000 guests banquet style.
