A block south of Market Street, this bistro is located near Yerba Buena Gardens, the Sony Metreon, SF MOMA, and the Moscone Convention Center. The interior is divided into three rooms, with the mahogany bar at the entry and two dining rooms beyond. Décor reflects the early 20th century, with 1-inch octagonal tile flooring, wood wainscoting and chairs, and several stained-glass accent windows. A wide open kitchen with a rotisserie and wood oven is located at the rear of the main dining room. Originally opened in 1913, the restaurant serves up American cuisine, including classic Caesar salads, rotisserie chicken, steaks, burgers, and pasta dishes.
